Jordana Laks

Assistant Professor, Boston University School of Medicine

Jordana (Jordy) Laks, MD, MPH is a primary care and addiction medicine physician at BHCHP. She completed medical school at the University of North Carolina and trained in primary care internal residency at Boston Medical Center. She then completed an Addiction Medicine fellowship at Boston Medical Center, during which she started working at BHCHP’s clinic at Woods Mullen Shelter providing primary care and addiction treatment to women experiencing homelessness.

Jordy now works as part of the Woods Mullen Shelter and street outreach teams with a focus on providing low-threshold primary care and addiction services to people experiencing homelessness who use drugs. She is also a clinician-educator and Assistant Professor at the Boston University School of Medicine. Her clinical, research, and advocacy interests focus on promoting health and empowerment for and with people who use drugs, with particular interests in low-barrier addiction treatment, harm reduction, and reproductive justice and sexual health in women who use drugs.
