Our 2019 Emerging Leaders Gala was on Thursday October 17 where Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program's Emerging Leaders and other young professionals of Boston gathered for a festive evening of food, drinks, live entertainment and recognition of the extraordinary contributions made by corporations and young professionals to improve the lives of our community's most vulnerable and resilient neighbors.

Change Maker Award
Life Science Cares received our Changemaker Award in recognition of their success in galvanizing a rapidly-growing industry in the greater Boston community to be actively involved in alleviating poverty and the suffering of those experiencing homelessness through philanthropy and volunteerism.

Leader in Service Award
Takeda Pharmaceuticals received our Leader in Service Award for their commitment to serving our patients through volunteer activities, donation drives, and educational programming. From sharing a laugh and smile with a patient, to collecting vital items to improve the overall well-being of our patients, Takeda employees have continuously impacted the lives of the individuals we serve.

Sox for Socks MVP
Lightship Wealth Strategies received our Sox for Socks MVP for their extraordinary efforts to provide the patients served by BHCHP with a basic comfort that is crucial to their health and dignity: new white socks.

The Emerging Leaders’ mission is to activate Boston's vibrant and talented young professionals community to support BHCHP by:

  • Raising critical funds to further our work,
  • Increasing awareness of our services, the impact on our city, and the growing need, and
  • Contributing directly to the cause through volunteerism and service.
