About the Class
Yoga sculpt is a yoga class that incorporates yoga flow with weights, squats, cardio, and core work. A typical class begins with a Sun A and Sun B flow to get warmed up, and then begins incorporating weights with the flow, building up to more exerting exercises. Yoga Sculpt is a perfect combination of mindfulness, breathing, stretching, muscle toning, and hard work. Several modifications are offered during class to make it accessible to all levels. You can expect a good sweat and good music to guide you along in your hour-long practice. Yoga mat, towel, and light hand weights recommended.
About the Instructor
Hey! I'm Megan. After attending the University of Michigan for elementary education, I moved to Boston to obtain a Master's degree in Moderate Special Education at Boston College. I am now in my 5th year as a 5th grade literacy teacher at a charter school in Roxbury. Since I am passionate about both teaching and yoga separately, I decided to expand my teaching to yoga as well. I became certified to teach through Corepower Yoga, the studio I have practiced at for the last 5 years. For me, I return to my mat time and time again for the physical challenge and to focus on being present. Yoga recharges me physically and mentally. Teaching yoga virtually has been a whole new adventure for me, and I can't wait to share it with you!
