Go, Red Sox!

For the third straight year, the Red Sox Foundation invited fans to bring new white socks to Fenway Park for the patients of the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (BHCHP).  The thanks of both patients and staff of BHCHP goes to the generous people of the Red Sox Foundation and NESN for holding and promoting this very successful event.

On July 11th and 12th, more than 14,000 pairs of socks were collected during two sox games.

Why Sox?

Clean socks are a staple of homeless health care. Rain-soaked feet, ill-fitting shoes, constant standing and disease all take their toll on the feet of homeless people. One of the most basic ways to keep feet healthy is to keep them warm and dry.

You Can Still Help!

You can drop off your sock donations at any Dependable Cleaners location until July 31, 2008.  Click the link below for the location nearest to you: http://www.dependablecleaners.com/locations.html
